Delete my account
Last updated: October 3, 2026
You can delete your Joya Home account at any time, free of charge and without having to give a reason. This page applies to both applications: Joya Home (parents) and Joya Home Kids (children), published by Benjamin Taieb.
In the application (the fastest way)
- Open Joya Home, the parents' application.
- Go to Settings, My account section.
- Tap “Delete my account permanently”, then confirm twice.
Deletion is immediate and permanent.
By email
Write to [email protected], preferably from your account's address, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We delete it within one month at most.
What is deleted
- Your account: first name, email address, password, link with Apple or Google (access is also revoked at Apple, and the application withdraws the authorization given to Google), notification tokens, “forgotten password” codes.
- If you are the last parent of the home, the whole home: the accounts of the children and other members, their settings, location and trips, SOS alerts, battery, places, the feed, calls and voice messages, sweet notes, requests and mission photos, missions, challenges, scores and champions, the home quiz, baskets and drop-offs, weekly math tests, the memory of weak spots and progress, screen time, time per app, the list of applications and approval decisions, website history, alert sentences, subscription data and access codes.
- If another parent remains in the home, it continues to exist for them: only your account is deleted. What you sent in the home (calls, sweet notes) stays there, with your first name, until it is automatically deleted after 30 days or until the home is deleted.
- Two homes: a child who also has another home is not deleted with yours. They only leave your home, along with what it kept about them (websites visited, trips, basket), and remain in the other.
Removing a child
A child cannot delete their own account in Joya Home Kids: a parent removes them, from the child's profile › “Remove from home”. The following are then deleted immediately: their account (first name, date of birth, settings, last location, battery, phone status, list of their applications), their trips, their SOS alerts, their website history, their alert sentences, their weekly math tests, their memory of weak spots and their progress. The rest of what concerns them in the home (feed entries, missions and photos, challenges, time per app) is deleted automatically after 30 days, or kept until the home is deleted for anything without a shorter period; you can ask us by email to delete it too. A child or teenager can also write to us themselves.
If they have two homes, “Remove from home” only removes them from yours: their account and their other home remain.
What about the subscription?
Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription, which is managed by Apple or Google. Cancel it from your App Store or Google Play account's subscription settings.
What may remain
- Our host's technical logs, used to understand an outage and deleted after a few weeks at most.
- A hash of your email address and of your Apple or Google identifier, used only to avoid granting the free trial a second time. Your address cannot be recovered from this hash.
- The purchase records kept by Apple or Google, under their own rules.
